Produced annually by the editors of American Banker, the rankings will be published in October 2011. Individuals are ranked at the discretion of the editors, based on a range of qualitative and quantitative information. We welcome colleague nominations and personal applications.

Women who are approaching the pinnacle of the industry, producing enviable results in their positions running institutions or large divisions at leading banks.
Supporting Nomination
American Banker welcomes nominations and letters in support of business associates and colleagues. Nominees must work for a bank or other financial institution and be SVP level or above (or equivalent title at non-bank institutions).
The 25 Most Powerful Women in Finance
The strongest performers and most influential women in financial services who are employed by financial firms outside of commercial and retail banking.
Top Banking Teams
Recognizing groups of women with strong financial performance at institutions that have promoted many women to the highest ranks in the company and actively promote a pipeline of talented women.
Lifetime Achievement
Lifetime Achievement awards are given to honor female bankers for long and exemplary careers that have inspired others. Candidates must have a minimum of 25 years of experience in banking and financial services.
