Michael J. McEvoy is Managing Director at ath Power Consulting. For over 15 years, he has consulted to some of the largest financial institutions worldwide and their solution providers. He is a distinguished researcher and advisor in banking innovation and strategy, authoring over 100 analyst reports and numerous published articles in leading industry journals, including American Banker, Bank Technology News and Bank Systems and Technology.  His expertise includes market and competitive analysis and the use of information technology in banking, specifically in the areas of mobile and online banking, small business banking, social media, lending and payments systems.  

Prior to joining ath Power, Mike served as Principal and Head of Banking Research for Novarica, a division of Novantas. Additionally, he spent six years consulting to MasterCard and its member banks, and was also a founding analyst at TowerGroup and MasterCard’s Purchase Street Research.  He holds a Bachelors degree in mathematics and economics and a Master of Economic Science degree from University College, Cork, Ireland and an MBA from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania.
