Martin Roussel is Executive Director, Small Business Banking for Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI). With 20 years of North American and European Small Business Banking experience, he is currently responsible for 15 markets within the CIS, CEE and SEE region. In the last five years, he has helped RBI build one of the most successful SME franchise in East Europe. Mr. Roussel began his career with the Business Development Bank of Canada where he gained expertise in the area of credit, sales & distribution, treasury, strategy and enterprise risk management. Prior to Raiffeisen, Martin was Head of Risk Management for VISA Desjardins in Canada, a major credit card issuer with 10 bio assets under management. His team focused on designing and executing profitable quantitative strategies with regards to acquisition, credit lines increases and fraud management. Martin holds a B.Sc. in Actuarial Science and an MBA from University of Cambridge in the UK. He is a CFA chart holder since 2001. In his free time, he enjoys photography and teaching finance.
