Lou is the founder and CEO of Discourse Analytics a company that utilizes cognitive computing, machine learning and prescriptive analytics to improve product targeting, reduce churn and increase customer recapture for companies in the financial services industry.� The DA patented platform operationalized computational psychology models to map existing customer mindsets to determine “why” they are transacting with you and leverages this understanding to have the “next best conversation.” This engagement leads to more effective and targeted interactions and enable a “human conversation through digital channels.”Lou previously practiced law where he attempted to use creative legal solutions to enhance his clients’ business goals.� Lou ran his own firm for 14+ years.� In 2008 Lou came up with the idea or disrupting politics by attempting to “solve” how traditional “stereotypes” were becoming increasingly inaccurate predictors of political behavior and the attendant impact of the rapid disruption in politics and commerce caused by social and mobile innovation. �Lou along with his co-founder saw the opportunity to build a company that uses “mindset modeling” across multiple channels to drive better activation and engagement.� In 2013 Lou pivoted the company into financial services as it represented a larger opportunity to bring algorithmic change to an industry fundamentally altered by digital and mobile.�Lou is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the Syracuse College of Law where he was a member of the Law Review.� Lou was also a tumblr. fellow at the Personal Democracy Forum (2012), the Bull Run Beer Mile Champion (2009) and an Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon Finisher (2005).
