Ryan McInerney

Chief Executive Officer, Consumer Bank

Ryan McInerney is the CEO of Consumer Banking at JPMorgan Chase. Consumer Banking serves 20 million customers in 23 different states. He has held the position since June 2010. Ryan oversees a banking network with 5,400 branches, 16,000 ATMs and 76,000 employees nationwide. Chase’s number of branches is the third largest in the nation while the number of ATMs is second highest. Consumer Banking also supports telephone banking, online banking and mobile banking, which allows customers to access their accounts whenever they need. He is also leading the effort to improve the overall experience for Chase customers. Prior to his current position, he was the Chief Operating Officer for Home Lending and also served as the Chief Risk Officer for Chase’s consumer businesses. As Chief Risk Officer, he oversaw all credit risk management for the various consumer businesses and provided leadership to risk managers in home lending, auto finance, education finance, consumer banking, business banking and card services. Before being named Chief Risk Officer, Ryan was the head of Product and Marketing for Consumer Banking for three years. He led the introduction of Chase Mobile, making Chase the first major U.S. bank to use cell phone text messaging to give customers account information on demand. Ryan was a principal at McKinsey & Company before joining JPMorgan Chase. At McKinsey, he worked in the firm’s retail banking and consumer credit practice. Ryan received a finance degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1997. He lives in in Westchester County, New York, with his wife and three children.
