Scott M. Shean is a commissioned National Bank Examiner (NBE) for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). Scott joined the OCC in 1987 as an Assistant National Bank Examiner in the Los Angeles Field Office, and transferred to the Miami Field Office in 2004.
Throughout his OCC career, Scott’s examination duties have varied widely. He now most often serves as the Examiner-in-Charge (EIC), or leads up the review of asset quality, at examinations in community banks in South Florida. He regularly assists on credit-related assignments in mid-size and large banks, including the review of Shared National Credits in New York City. He has served part-time roles on the OCC’s resident commercial credit teams at Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Union Bank of California, and mid-size banks in California.
Scott graduated from Washington State University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a specialty in Finance.
