Stefanie H. Jackman, is a senior litigation associate in the Litigation Department at Ballard Spahr and a member of the firm's Consumer Financial Services Mortgage Banking, and Commercial Litigation groups. She also is a member of Ballard Spahr's Fair Lending Task Force and Collection Documentation Task Force.
Ms. Jackman's practice focuses primarily on complex litigation in the area of consumer financial services and financial institutions law. She regularly defends financial institutions in mortgage-related litigation, credit card-related litigation, arbitration, commercial law, and class action defense. She handles litigation issues arising under an array of consumer financial laws, including state UDAAP statutes, RESPA, TILA, FDCPA, FCRA, and SCRA. Ms. Jackman also represents clients in connection with responding to administrative enforcement actions and investigations brought by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and other governmental regulators.
Ms. Jackman holds a J.D., with honors, from Emory University School of Law and a B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Vermont.
