Steve Zuckerman is managing director of Self-Help in California and President of Self-Help Federal Credit Union.� Steve worked briefly for Self-Help in 1984/85, served on its board for most of the next 20 years, then rejoined staff in 2006 to launch its California expansion.� In 2008, he led the formation of Self-Help Federal Credit Union which now has assets over $600 million and serves more than 65,000 mostly low-income members through 23 branches throughout California, southwest Chicago and now Florida.� Nationally, Self-Help is a leading Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that has invested $68 billion in 102,000 families, individuals, businesses and non-profits.� Steve’s other work experience includes almost 15 years with McCown De Leeuw & Co., a private investment firm based in Menlo Park, CA and consulting with Bain & Company. He holds degrees from Yale and Stanford, and is married with three grown children.�
