Timothy Spence is a Partner in the Retail and Business Banking practice at Oliver Wyman, a global management consultancy. He is based out of the firms New York office. Tim has advised senior executives at major retail banks, brokerage firms, private banks, and payments networks in North America, the United Kingdom, and Australia, across all major product lines and customer segments. His work centers on a broad array of themes, including corporate strategy, innovation and product design, marketing, retail distribution, and retail operations. In addition to client work, Tim is an active participant in the development of the Oliver Wymans intellectual capital and in advancing the industry dialogue. Recently, Tim led the design and execution of the Oliver Wymans Survey of Business Finances, and he has contributed to a number of the firms recent papers on the evolving retail banking, payments, and mortgage market landscapes. He serves as the Chairman of the annual Financial Services Marketing Symposium, is a frequent speaker at other industry events, and has been quoted for expert commentary in by numerous publications, including the American Banker and New York Times. Tim received a Bachelors Degree in Economics and English Literature from Colgate University, where he graduated Cum Laude and was awarded High Honors. He was a three-year letterman on the Mens Varsity Rowing team.
