ENGAGING AND RETAINING TOP TALENT
Banking small businesses is still a “people business,” and there are a lot of unanswered questions, first among them, how do we get more and better results, faster, from our team members with fewer resources this year? And, once we’ve solved that problem, how do we keep our own top talent and middle talent when the job market opens up, how should we define small business jobs, and how can we improve our own recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new talent to boost client retention and sales? Looking further ahead, how do we think the knowledge worker “talent gap” will affect our banks’ abilities to recruit and retain small business bankers or branch small business sales people? What about the Millenials’ less intense work ethic? What about falling levels of business, financial, and mathematical literacy in the labor force?
In this session we will address these and other issues related to identifying, recruiting, hiring, on-boarding, training, managing, and retaining people who serve and sell to small businesses.
