Most Consumers Satisfied with Bank Help Desks Survey
The vast majority of consumers said they were satisfied with customer service in the financial services industry, according to fourth-quarter data from web-based customer support provider Zendesk. Now find out how banks and other finance companies stack up against other industries.
The real estate industry earned top marks in Zendesk's 19-industry analysis, with a 96% customer satisfaction rating. First-response time to a customers problem, a key indicator for satisfaction, was just 24.8 hours.
The IT and consultancy industry also scored highly: 95% of consumers reported being satisfied with customer support.
The financial services industry tied for fourth place, with 93% of consumers reporting they are happy with customer support, despite a relatively slow response time of 28.6 hours.
Only 82% of consumers reported being satisfied with customer service in the retail and wholesale industry.
Just 78% of consumers reported they were content with the help they received in the social media industry, even though first-response time was a respectable 25.9 hours.
