Moola Moose serves as the mascot at PyraMax. The Greenfield, Wis., bank gives kids a plush moose and a birthday surprise.

The Pennsylvania bank built a program around Dollar the Dragon. Honesdale also gives accountholders a dragon bank and a special club card when they sign up.

Rex the Save-A-Saurus represents ViewPoint Financial (VPFG). The Plano, Texas, company encourages boys and girls to collect stamps it issues to turn in for gift cards at stores such as Toys R Us.

The Wisconsin bank markets Cashus as the "cool cat in town." Ixonia gives children with a bank and an activity book when they open accounts.

The Pittsburgh company has partnered with Sesame Street to produce flash cards, a children's activity book and a DVD on the basics of spending and saving. Plus, it is bilingual.
