BBVA Compass

The subsidiary of the Spanish banking company won an award for its infrastructure and architecture. As he presented the award, Celent senior banking analyst Bob Meara said, "Since entering the U.S. market in 2004, BBVA has demonstrated a commitment to excellence. It recently embarked on what could be a game changing initiative, migrating its legacy core system that served all commercial, wealth management and 716 retail branches to a modern real-time system from Accenture. The project cost totaled more than $360 million and is among the first successful infrastructure transformations by a major U.S. bank in more than 10 years." (Image: Bloomberg News)
