First Fidelity Absorbs Morris Savings of N.J.

NEWARK, N.J. - First Fidelity Bancorp. said it completed the consolidation of Morris Savings Bank, Morristown, N.J., into First Fidelity Bank, the holding company's principal subsidiary.

First Fidelity bought the assets and assumed the deposits and capital of Morris Savings in September. Morris Savings' 15 offices in four northern New Jersey counties became part of First Fidelity's 240-branch network.
