NBD Branch to Try Opening on Sundays
DETROIT -- NBD Bancorp said it will open a branch in a grocery store on Sundays to test whether the extra hours boost business.
The parent of NBD Bank, Detroit, is the first major banking organization in the state to open on Sunday, according to Ann Arbor-based banking consultant Justin Moran.
If the 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. hours at the Kroger supermarket in Royal Oak are well received, NBD could extend the concept to other stores.
