Old Kent Taps Wroten As Executive VP, CFO
Richard W. Wroten has been appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer of Old Kent Financial Corp., Grand Rapids, Mich.
He comes to Old Kent Financial from First City Bancorporation of Texas, Houston, where he was an executive vice president and chief financial officer for the past 2 1/2 years. He was also a director of the holding company's lead bank.
Before working at First City, Mr. Wroten spent 14 years with Arthur Andersen & Co., including four years in San Francisco, where he was a partner responsible for the company's profit improvement practice in worldwide banking.
During two years in Tokyo, he helped establish a capital markets consulting group working with banks and investment firms.
