Citibank Beefs Up Its Global ATMs

NEW YORK -- Citibank is preparing to offer increased global service through its automated teller machines.

The Citicorp unit said it has identified a dozen countries where it will begin offering multilanguage, multicurrency ATM services. Cardholders from those countries will be able to use more than 2,000 Citibank machines either in their home country or in the other countries initially identified.

Customers in Singapore will be linked this month to Citibank's International Citicard network, joining consumers in the United States, Japan, and Puerto Rico. Within two years, Germany and Hong Kong will be added.
