Marin Community Bank, San Rafael, Calif., said John Cavallucci is expected to join as president and chief executive officer Jan. 1.
Mr. Cavallucci holds those posts now at Chino Valley Bank in Chino, Calif.
He is to succeed H.B. "Jamie" Jamison under a three-year contract. Mr. Jamison, who earlier this year announced his plans to retire as president and CEO, will become vice chairman.
Gary T. Ragghianti will continue as chairman.
The Cleveland-based bank is projecting steady growth in net interest income even as credit losses remain manageable. But Chairman and CEO Chris Gorman also said that he thinks a recession is likely.
The first-quarter increase involved commercial real estate loans, including some problematic multifamily loans and an office credit, but none of the criticized loans were to consumers, officials at the Dallas company say. Further CRE deterioration is anticipated.
