SIA election results announced.

George Shelton, president and chief executive officer of Howe, Barnes Investments Inc., Chicago, has been elected chairman of the Securities Industry Association Central States District.

Other officers elected were: Michael Kiser, executive vice president, John G. Kinnard & Co., Minneapolis, as district vice chairman; and William Lawlor 3d, first vice president, Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co., Chicago, as district secretary-treasurer.

The three new officers will serve one-year terms, beginning this week.

Elected to the district's executive committee to serve three-year terms were: Russell Breeden 3d, president of Raffensperger, Hughes & Co., Indianapolis; Michael Buckner, senior vice president and manager at PaineWebber Inc., Chicago; Kathleen Flanagan, vice president-communications at John Nuveen & Co., Chicago; and Eric Hender, president of Securities Corp. of Iowa, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The central states district is composed of 90 firms from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
