Co-op Bank Taps Snyder for CEO

National Cooperative Bank in Washington, which finances cooperative enterprises, named Charles E. Snyder president and chief executive officer.

Mr. Snyder had been corporate vice president and chief financial officer since 1983. In 1987, he was named president and chief executive officer of an affiliate, NCB Capital Corp.

Under Mr. Snyder's predecessor, Thomas S. Condit, the bank has grown since 1983 from $222 million in assets to more than $500 million. Members' equity has grown from $33 million in 1983 to more than $103 million in 1991.

"Chuck Snyder has participated in every aspect of this growth and success," said Gordon E. Lindquist, chairman of the bank.
