Toal Is Named As Chairman At Dime of N.J.

Lawrence J. Toal has been appointed chairman of the Dime Savings Bank of New Jersey, Somerset. He is president and chief operating officer of the parent company, Dime Savings Bank of New York.

He succeeds Harry W. Albright Jr., who retired in January as chairman of the parent and the New Jersey bank. Mr. Albright was elected chairman emeritus of Dime Savings Bank of New York.

Paul Colasono remains president and chief executive officer of Dime of New Jersey.

Mr. Toal joined Dime in January as president and chief operating officer. He had been president of Philadelphia Savings Fund Society, a subsidiary of Meritor Financial Group.
