Davox Introduces Software for Telemarketing, Collections

Davox Corp. announced a system designed to help automate the management of collections and of telemarketing campaigns.

The software, Smart Management Center, monitors agents and predictive dialing systems, which detect and process busy signals and unanswered calls. It is based on the Unix operating system and can be used with all Davox predictive dialers. The current version runs on Unix workstations from Sun Microsystems Inc. and International Business Machines Corp.

If performance of a predictive dialer falls short of expectations, the system will correct it, Davox said. If an agent is not meeting standards, the software will inform the supervisor.

Davox, based in Billerica, Mass., announced the system this week and said it would be available next month. The software license will cost $15,000.
