Walter Simon and Mark Durivage have joined Brenner Securities in New York to set up a municipal bond department.
The two formerly were with Swiss American Securities Inc., which closed its municipal bond department last year.
The new department at Brenner will specialize in the trading and sales of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut bonds and various other high-grade issues, said Mr. Simon, a 25-year veteran of the business. The firm's clients will be smaller institutions and high net worth individuals.
Mr. Simon is a senior vice president at Brenner; Mr. Durivage, a vice president.
