Bank of S.F. Will Take a Chargeoff
SAN FRANCISCO - Bank of San Francisco Co. said it expects to report a third-quarter loss.
The anticipated loss reflects the chargeoff of a substantial loan by its Bank of San Francisco subsidiary, a one-time charge by the bank related to a decision to substantially reduce its mortgage banking business, and the effects of the recession on northern California real estate, the company said.
