Freeman to Head Pilgrim State Bank

Charles Freeman has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Pilgrim State Bank, a subsidiary of Ramapo Financial Corp., Wayne, N.J., effective Sept. 3.

Mr. Freeman, regional administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration Region II, has directed agency programs in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands since 1986. He administered financial, management, and procurement programs to help small businesses throughout the region.

In addition, Mr. Freeman was instrumental in the development of a $100 million revolving loan fund for small business, utilizing the New York State Common Retirement Fund as a source of funding for small business loans guaranteed by the SBA.
