First Investors Names Miller CEO

Michael S. Miller, formerly senior executive officer of First Investors Corp., has been named chief executive officer of the $3.2 billion-asset mutual fund company.

Mr. Miller, who joined the New York-based company in February, will continue to have full responsibility over the company's operations. He will be responsible for management, personnel, and policies of all departments, including compliance, legal, executive sales, and executive training.

He had been with the Washington law firm of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart, where he was a partner specializing in securities enforcement and litigation.

Anne T. Dunne has been appointed deputy chief executive officer. In her new position, Ms. Dunne will work closely with the company's training department, its transfer agency, and various sales offices.

Kathryn Head, a vice president of First Investors, has been appointed chief financial officer. Ms. Head continues as president of First Financial Savings Bank, a thrift with headquarters in Woodbridge, N.J.

First Investors Corp. is a 60-year-old company that markets mutual funds and provides other financial services to clients nationwide.
