Gleen A. Haydel, formerly with Scharff & Jones Inc. in New Orleans, has joined the First Charlotte division of J.C. Bradford & Co. as a vice president in municipal finance.
Mr. Haydel will cover municipal bond issuers in North and South Carolina from First Charlotte's office in Charlotte, N.C. First Charlotte Corp. was purchased by Nashville-based J.C. Bradford in February.
"We are delighted to have a man of Glenn's experience on board," said Keith Brunnemer, a J.C. Bradford partner. Mr. Brunnemer said Mr. Haydel will work the same territory as had Richard T. Brigden, formerly a First Charlotte vice president. Mr. Brigden left the firm in April to take the position of senior vice president in public finance at Interstate/Johnson Lane in Charlotte.
Mr. Haydel had been with Scharff & Jones since 1984. While at the New Orleans-based subsidiary of Memphis-based Morgan Keegan Inc., he worked with issuers in Louisiana and Mississippi.
