SSI Buys Dyatron Mortgage Systems

Stockholder Systems Inc. announced that it has acquired the Dyatron Mortgage Systems Division of Sungard Data Systems Inc. for an undisclosed price.

The Dyatron unit, based in Jacksonville, Fla., markets mortgage-servicing and problem-loan monitoring software and has more than 300 clients. Wayne, Pa.-based Sungard acquired the division in a 1989 merger with Dyatron Corp.

Can Run on Many Machines

The software acquired by Stockholder Systems -- which runs on personal computers, Unix-compatible hardware, and mainframes -- rounds out the company's offerings in asset management, an executive said.

"SSI can now offer loan-origination, secondary-marketing, and servicing systems," said D.R. Grimes, president of Stockholder Systems' Financial Products Division.

Stockholders Systems, headquartered in Norcross, Ga., is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nynex Corp.
