Exide group lines up $75 million of credit.

RALEIGH, N.C. - Exide Electronics Group Inc. said it had obtained $75 million in new domestic credit facilities, including a three-year revolver and various letter-of-credit facilities.

The co-agents for the facilities are NationsBank and First Union National Bank, both of Charlotte, N.C. The lending group also includes Continental Bank, Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan, and NBD Bank of Detroit. Like NationsBank, they are new lenders for Exide.

The credits replace facilities totaling $42.5 million that had been in place for the past year. The company's products protect power systems from failures and other problems.
