ACI, Atalla debut teller system.

To help reduce paperwork and boost security, a personal identification number terminal, developed by Atalla Corp., San Jose, Calif., can be programmed with Omaha-based Applied Communications Inc. software, allowing customers to identify themselves by swiping their bank card through the terminal and entering their PIN. Once identified, a customer can request transactions without having to fill out deposit slips or other paper forms.
