Shares of Citicorp climbed 4%, to $19.375, on unusally heavy volume Monday, while bank stocks in general were mixed. Morgan Stanley analyst Arthur Soter said he raised his rating and his 1993 earnings estimate for the company to $3.40 a share from $2.50. Mr. Soter said Citicorp's cost-cutting program was working and its problem assets are peaking.
