Fla. thrift's holders vote for Society deal.

CLEVELAND - Society Corp. said it has been notified that shareholders of First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Fort Myers, Fla., approved the thrift's acquisition by the Cleveland-based banking company.

Under terms of an agreement signed July 17, First Federal and a subsidiary of Society will merge, and First Federal shareholders will receive $45 in cash for each common share.
