Visa promoting card use to grocery shoppers.

Visa U.S.A. Inc. has launched a promotion to encourage use of its credit cards in supermarkets. Visa is offering to reimburse shoppers $2 for every purchase of $20 or more charged to a Visa Card.

In addition to the direct rebate to merchants - the $2 is taken off shoppers' grocery bills - the "Visa Instant Savings" program includes cooperative advertising allowances and reimbursements up to $100 to merchants who produce circulars advertising their acceptance of Visa cards.
