NAPA, Calif. - Napa Valley Bancorp said it has appointed president and chief executive officer Bryan Hansen to an additional post, that of chairman.
Mr. Hansen succeeded William P. Brooks, a cofounder of the banking company, who had announced his retirement at the annual shareholders meeting in May.
Napa Valley also named former Bank of America executive E. James Hedemark president and chief executive of its lead subsidiary, Napa Valley Bank. Mr. Hansen had held the position on a interim basis since the previous chief executive, Steve Barlow, resigned in March.
