Midlantic taps four for posts in management.

Midatlantic Corp., Edison, N.J., has appointed four senior officers to the management committee.

"These appointments complete Midatlantic Corp.'s senior management team," said Garry J. Scheuring, chairman, president, and chief executive officer of the interstate bank holding company.

The officers and their areas of responsibility are: Mary Ellen Gray, real estate lending; Jeffrey S. Griffie, corporate operations; Eugene J. McNamara, human resources; and Barbara Z. Parker, trust and investment management.

Ms. Gray joined Midatlantic from Chemical Bank of New Jersey, where she was executive vice president in charge of commercial real estate.

Mr. Griffie joined Midatlantic in 1979 as senior vice president, operations and data processing. He was named executive vice president in 1986.

Most recently, he was the working team leader for a corporatewide program to improve efficiency and enhance customer service.

Mr. McNamara joined Midlantic in 1950. In 1978, he was promoted to senior vice president and senior operations officer, and in 1984 was appointed executive vice president of Midlantic National Bank/North, a former Midlantic banking affiliate.

Ms. Parker, who came to Midlantic in 1974, has participated in extensive credit and non-credit development programs. In 1991, she was named senior vice president and served as head of the institutional banking division of the corporate banking department.
