Hibernia Corp., New Orleans, has named Paul L. Hill president and chief executive officer of its Texas subsidiary, Hibernia National Bank in Texas, Dallas, subject to regulatory approval.
In addition, Joe D. Smith has been named chairman and Robert T. Holleman vice chairman of the Texas subsidiary.
Mr. Hill will have overall responsibility for a full-service bank serving customers in the four largest markets of Texas: Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio.
He succeeds Lawrence W. McIntosh, who has retired after 26 years in the banking industry.
