N.J. Bankers name Griffith as President.

Alfred H. Griffith has been elected president of the New Jersey Bankers Association, Princeton.

He will take office July 1, replacing Robert C. Forrey, who is retiring after 30 years of service.

Robert G. Cox, president of Summit Trust Co., continues as chairman.

Mr. Griffith joined the trade group in 1978 as its government relations director. He was named secretary in 1979, vice president in 1982, and executive vice president in 1989.

Before joining the group, Mr. Griffith was an educator and administrator in the Bridgewater-Raritan school district. He was elected mayor of Bridgewater Township in 1975.
