SALISBURY, N.C. - Omni Capital Group Inc. and First Security Financial Corp. said shareholders approved their previously announced merger.
The combined company would operate under the name Security Capital Bancorp. Based on financial data as of March 31, it would have total assets of about $925 million and total stockholders' equity of about $112 million. The headquarters would be in Salisbury.
The top five banks and thrifts have combined total assets of nearly $13 trillion.
The banking-as-a-service middleware provider will be acquired by TabaPay. Other middleware providers may be forced to evolve or face the same fate.
