First Commercial wins in damage suit.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - A chancery-court judge dismissed a lawsuit that sought $200 million in damages from First Commercial Bank, a unit of First Commercial Corp.

The lender-liability suit was filed against the bank by Aerth Development Inc. and had been pending for 11 years, the bank said. Lawyers for Aerth Development couldn't be reached for comment.

The bank's chairman and chief executive, Barnett Grace, said, "While we were always confident that no loss to the bank would occur, we were nevertheless delighted that the matter had been resolved."
