WM Life Insurance Co., the life insurance affiliate of Washington Mutual Savings Bank, Seattle, said Ernest R. Porter, chief executive officer, has assumed the additional new post of chairman.
Robert W. Eschrich, the company's senior vice president and chief actuary, has become president, succeeding Mr. Porter.
As chairman and chief executive, Mr. Porter will focus on industry, legislative, and regulatory affairs. Mr. Eschrich assumes responsibility for the day-to-day operations.
