Matrix Financial Services Corp.

Matrix Financial Services Corp. has relocated its mortgage banking operation to Phoenix from Denver, said Robert N. Pruett, president and chief executive officer.

The initial staff of 55 primarily comprises former MeraBank mortgage-servicing employees whose jobs were eliminated with the Resolution Trust Corp. liquidation of MeraBank. Matrix acquired certain mortgage-related assets of MeraBank in 1991.

The management team in Phoenix includes Richard L. Rice, senior vice president and manager of mortgage servicing.

Heading portfolio services is Ronald F. Kresnicka, also a senior vice president. he is responsible for bulk acquisitions, computer operations, and loan servicing transfers.He was formerly senior vice president for Crossland Mortgage in Salt Lake City.

Thomas J. Osselaer, vice president, is responsible for cash management, strategic planning and new business ventures for corporate development.

Stella Hess is vice president of mortgage loan accounting. She had been an assistant vice president with Lomas Mortgage U.S.A. in Dallas.

Michael Schlaff, vice president, is responsible for default services, including collection, foreclosures, bankruptcy, and real estate owned.

Gloria Vasquez, assistant vice president, is in charge of customer service and escrow administration.
