Pittsburgh National Bank, a unit of PNC Financial Corp., issued $400 million of one-year bank notes at an initial yield of 3.69%, or 17 basis points over the yield on one-year Treasury bills.

Merrill Lynch & Co. was lead manager of the issue, rated Aa3 by Moody's Investors Service Inc. and A-plus by Standard & Poor's Corp.
