Palisade Savings hires Paparatto as heir apparent.

Joseph S. Paparatto, a new Jersey thrift executive, has become executive vice president, chief operations officer, and a director of Palisade Savings Bank, Ridgefield Park, N.J.

Mr. Paparatto joins the management team of Douglas H. Lane Jr., president and chief executive officer, and Warren Grasing, executive vice president.

Mr. Lane, who is planning to retire as bank president sometime next year, said Mr. Paparatto has been designated as his successor.

Prior to his new assignment, Mr. Paparatto was president and chief executive officer of Polifly Savings and Loan Association, New Milford. Earlier, he was president of the Raritan Valley Savings/Hansen Savings, East Brunswick, having first served as its operations officer and executive vice president.

He is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of New Jersey and a past president of the Middlesex County Savings League and of Garden State Chapter 67 of the Institute of Financial Institutions.
