Paul Lipetzky quits post at Metropolitan.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Metropolitan Financial Corp. said its president and chief operating officer, Paul A. Lipetzky, has decided to resign to pursue other interests.

Mr. Lipetzky, 48 joined the multistate thrift company in 1988 as executive vice president and chief financial officer. He gained his current titles in 1990 and was a member of the office of the chairman.

His responsibilities will be distributed among Norman Jones, chairman; Stan K. Dardis, executive vice president; and William P. Bartkowski, executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
