Western Union renews Mexican pact.

DALLAS - Western Union Financial Services Inc. said it has renewed its contract with Telecommunicaciones de Mexico to offer money transfers between the United States and Mexico.

Western Union, a subsidiary of New Valley Corp., has been offering the international service for more than 120 years. It said transfers between the countries will approach $1 billion this year, up more than 25% from last year's level.
