Union Savings seized; depositor loss seen.

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. -- New York State's bank regulator has seized Union Savings Bank and appointed the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. as receiver.

The FDIC said depositors would lose about $2.8 million of a total of $14,130,000 in uninsured deposits at the state-chartered mutual savings bank.
