Britt elected to lead N.J. savings council.

Clyde C. Britt has been elected chairman of the New Jersey Council of Savings Institutions.

Mr. Britt, president and chief executive officer of Jersey Bank for Savings, Montvale, was previously first vice chairman of the council.

The new first vice chairman is paul C. Rontondi, chairman and chief executive officer of Washington Savings Bank, Hoboken.

Ronald L. Tobia has been elected second vice chairman-treasurer. Mr. Tobia is chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Family First Federal Savings Bank, Clifton.
