KeyCorp plans big credit card center.

COLONIE, N.Y. - KeyCorp said it plans to expand its national credit card operations, creating 250 to 300 jobs in the Albany, N.Y., area.

KeyCorp wants to move its credit card operations from two buildings in a suburban Albany industrial park to a proposed five-story, 250,000-square-foot building that would be built in the park.

Picotte Co. has applied to the town of Colonie's Industrial Development Agency for $31 million in bonds to finance construction of the building.

The agency is expected to consider the request today.

The building would be completed in January 1994, Key-Corp said.

About 800 KeyCorp employees would work in the new building, officials said.
