MINNEAPOLIS - Norwest Corp. said that with the opening of a Norwest Mortgage Inc. office in Burlington, Vt., the holding company has a presence for the first time in all 50 states.
Norwest has $40.6 billion in assets and 1,763 offices including 339 banking offices in 12 states, 772 Norwest Financial offices in 46 states, 430 Norwest Mortgage offices in 49 states, and 80 Norwest Insurance offices in 13 states.
The states with the most locations are Minnesota, 218; California, 147; Colorado, 105; Iowa, 96; Texas, 90; South Dakota, 73; Wisconsin, 70; Florida, 55; Nebraska, 53; North Dakota, 50; and Illinois, 50.
