Freddie Mac names 4 to housing council.

McLEAN, Va. - The Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp., known as Freddie Mac, named four new members to its Affordable Housing Advisory Council, which meets twice a year to help the agency promote home ownership by lower-income people.

The four new members are: William D. Bradford, associate dean for academic affairs and professor of finance at the University of Maryland; Genevieve S. Brooks, deputy borough president of the Bronx, N.Y.; Vincent Lane, chairman of the Chicago Housing Authority; and Mark C. Oman, president of Norwest Mortgage Inc., which originated more VA and FHA mortgages last year than any other lender.

The 17-member council's chairman is James W. Rouse, founder of the Rouse Co. and the Enterprise Foundation.
